- A bauble from Pomellato, opening on Oak Street tonight
There’s a lot going on tonight, especially on the newly revitalized Oak Street, where la vita e bella for Italian luxury brands. The Italian fine jewelry boutique Pomellato holds an opening party for its new boutique at 41 E. Oak from 5 to 8 PM; proceeds from the event’s sales go to the Lincoln Park Zoo. Down the street, Italian handbag retailer Furla holds a reopening party at 106 E. Oak to show off the remodeled digs—the store is now the only franchise operation in the continental U.S., owned by the Ifergans of Charles Ifergan Salon. It’s from 6 to 8:30 PM; 10 percent of the proceeds will go to the Apparel Industry Board.
