Not too long ago men could zealously care for their appearance without being labeled metrosexual. I don’t think I was alive then, but I’ve seen pictures: well-cut suits, hats, vests, pocket squares, all kinds of ties, canes, suspenders, you name it. Then came a sloppy era of jeans and band T-shirts. And now Eli embodies the new dude: smart but comfortable. Fun but respectable. Menswear always seemed a bit too austere for me—and hot. Like in no ventilation hot. So I love to see color and shorts incorporated in such a polished look. Honorable mention to the printed hem details.
