Street View is a fashion series in which Isa Giallorenzo spotlights some of the coolest styles seen in Chicago.

Remember Sarah, the punk chick from Street View 106? She invited me to a fashion show presenting her very own brand, Sugarcoma. Above is makeup artist Kat Kasket, modeling one of the looks featured in the collection—which was chock-full of punk and new-rave references.

What I love about Sarah (besides her being a young, driven, and local entrepreneur) is how she incorporates contradictory elements into her aesthetic. For example: punks are supposed to be jaded; Sarah couldn’t be sweeter. Come to think of it, her line—filled with skulls and racy messages, but also brimming with pink and feminine proportions—is aptly named. This mix is promising, and likely to please tough girlie girls.
