Chicago is definitely a small big town (or vice versa, I never know). It’s funny how I spot the same people in completely different situations. Liz, for example, is a Wicker Park/Logan Square kind of gal—her great style has saved me during a couple of dire winters. This time I saw her while she was working downtown, looking polished as ever, but still making her mark by tying a very grungy plaid shirt on her waist. Apparently you can take a girl out of Logan Square but can’t take Logan Square out of the girl.
