• Like this, but different

Friday at 5 PM, Small Bar Division will tap a cask of Surly Brewing’s rare T’BAG D Furious IPA, which is made with Centennial hops rather than the Simcoe hops used in their Furious IPA. It’s the first time the beer will be available outside its native Minneapolis. Our resident beer expert Philip Montoro tried Surly Tea Bagged, a double-dry-hopped version of Surly Furious, at Dark Lord Day several years ago (from a keg rather than a cask) and says it was excellent: “candied grapefruit, mandarin orange, pine resin, peat moss, sweet biscuity malts, basically everything you could want in the style.” This cask beer is likely to go fast, so get there early if you want to try it.

*This post has been revised to indicate that the beer that will be available at Small Bar is Surly T’BAG D, which is different than the previously released Surly Tea Bagged Furious.
