Today’s obviously a good time to revisit Steve Rhodes’s 2001 profile of Ann Marie Lipinski; the bit about how John Kass was basically considered a lost cause as a journalist before teaming up with Lipinski on a couple big stories is pretty fascinating (Kass is possibly my favorite Trib writer, up there with Blair Kamin, who’s also in Lipinski’s circle).
