How to get the most savings out of Chicago Restaurant Week, which starts today and continues through 2/28, has been a perennial dilemma since it started in 2008—the number of restaurants offering the $22 lunch/$32 dinner deal can be pretty overwhelming, especially for people who aren’t familiar with most of the places.
To help you figure out where to get the most bang for your buck, the Onion’s A.V. Club Chicago has calculated the average savings—or loss—for dinner next week at each of the places participating (not all the restaurants are up yet, but they will be soon). Biggest savings: Naha, where you’ll save about $30. Biggest rip-off: Salute Wine Bar, where you’re likely to pay $8.50 more than you normally would. And vegetarians, you may be out of luck savings-wise no matter where you go.
