One of the less sexy, but undeniably handy features of the internet is its unlimited space  — and this is especially true when it comes to food and drink and related happenings. Our restaurant listings are exhaustive (the ones that run each week in the paper are just a taste of what’s available on the Reader Restaurant Finder), and this blog is designed to serve as, among many other things, a clearinghouse for listings of cooking demos, culinary talks, wine dinners, beer tastings, neighborhood eating tours, celebrity chefstravaganzas, and what have you. I’m going to aim to start posting them on a regular (weekly?) basis. So, if you’ve got a tip let me know at mbayne[at]

Also: sorry about that headline. I’m already realizing it’s going to be hard to do this without succumbing to the sleazy charms of bad food puns. They’re everywhere.
