The recent Fiasco Friday protests/pep rallies helped demonstrate that Lupe Fiasco has some of the most crazy-ass-dedicated fans around, and he knows it. As a little thank-you and a teaser for his upcoming album, Lasers (recently blessed with a release date of March 2011), he just posted a single, “The Show Goes On,” for free download. The track’s based on an interpolation of Modest Mouse’s “Float On,” and it kind of doubles as a reminder of how good that song is, now that there’s been a nice long period of giving it a damn rest.

In related news, Modest Mouse’s The Fruit That Ate Itself is getting reissued in a couple of weeks. Possibly the best thing they ever made. I’m just saying.
