- Did you feel a Big Breeze at the Cell today?
“I’m ready to rock, man,” Adam Dunn told the Sun-Times Wednesday in Cleveland. “Ready to get home and get in the flow of everything.’’
When the White Sox designated misser was last seen in the Cell last season, he was striking out. Faced with the possibility of not breaking the club’s single-season K record, Dunn rose to the occasion, fanning a remarkable nine times in 11 at bats in his last four games. This gave him 177 Ks on the year, breaking the old record of 175.
But ‘‘what happened last year is last year,’’ Dunn told Daryl Van Schouwen of the Sun-Times. Van Schouwen himself added, “The batting eye that was lost last year is back.”
