As noted in Lynn Becker’s cover piece this week, the Great Books Foundation has published a centennial edition of Daniel Burnham and Edward Bennett’s Plan of Chicago. The paperback version ($39.95) is a 9″x12″ thing of beauty, with lots of full-color illustrations and reproductions of sepia-toned photographs. There’s also a hardcover “collector’s” edition that goes for $125. You can buy online at greatbooks.org/planofchicago or by phone at 800-222-5870.
