Crain’s has an interview with Josh Karp, who’s ceasing the Printed Blog.

It’s a shame: it was entertainingly unpredictable and something I’d have been happy to read if I’d ever encountered it in the wild (though some of the pics in the issue I have are a little too S&M/bloody for my taste). But I can’t help but think if the credulous reporters who gave it so much buzz had more realistically framed it – instead of a “printed blog” it was more “Quimbys-esque zine, with incredibly high production values and a very limited yet very labor-intensive distribution model, that happened to draw free content from the Web instead of the zinester’s friends” – expectations would have been more realistic.
