At Book Cellar, Anne Elizabeth Moore shares excerpts from her photo/essay collection Hip Hop Apsara: Ghosts Past and Present, an exploration of modern Cambodian culture.

Local mashup artists the Hood Internet perform at the Metro in support of their new LP, Feat, their first collection of original music. Leor Galil says that “the tunes have a lot in common with the duo’s mashups: they’re luscious and sleek, with gleeful beats, and they likewise draw on rap and indie rock, though this time in the form of guest vocalists and instrumentalists (including Cadence Weapon, BBU, and Psalm One in the former category and A.C. Newman, Rosebuds, and Hooray for Earth in the latter).”
