Paint Fumes

Looking for something to do today? Agenda‘s got you covered:

Charlotte rockers Paint Fumes, whose debut album, Uck Life, is “a spinning top of dizzying, brain-fried garage that ought to bring back fond memories of that time your friend blacked out from huffing gas duster in your parents’ garage” according to Kevin Warwick, opens for King Khan & BBQ Show at the Empty Bottle. Bazooka is also on the bill.

Deanna Isaacs recommends checking out the Civic Opera House’s production of Jules Massenet’s Werther, claiming that “tenor Matthew Polenzani, a Wilmette native and Ryan Training Center alum, is outstanding in the desperate and vocally soaring title role.”

Catherine Edelman has collected some of her favorite pieces that she’s shown at her River North Gallery over the past 25 years, on display through Sat 12/29.
