Looking for something to do today? Agenda‘s got you covered:

Maria’s Packaged Goods & Community Bar in Bridgeport hosts Jungle Boogie, an evening of dancing to Latin and African rhythms, accompanied by an hour-long video collage titled Cult of the Cobra/Exotica 2046, a self-described “exotica musical video.”

As the keynote speaker at this year’s “One Book, One Northwestern,” journalist Alex Kotlowitz discusses and signs copies of his latest book, Never a City So Real: A Walk in Chicago, a travelogue that includes interviews with some of the most notable residents of the city’s least-known neighborhoods.

The Congress Theater in Logan Square hosts Miike Snow, the Swedish indie-pop act that rose to acclaim with their self-titled debut but is now touring in support of its sophomore LP, Happy to You, which Miles Raymer praises for its “tasteful, danceable beats, layered guitars and synths, and unabashedly ecstatic electronic flourishes.”
