Update: This event is now sold out. Please tune in to the live stream of the party beginning Thursday at 9 PM here on the Bleader.

Tomorrow night is the first of a new Reader-hosted series of DJ showcases that will be taking place in offbeat, obscure, or otherwise surprising spaces and places around Chicago. These free events have limited capacity and are invitation only—but you, dear Reader reader, are invited.

In addition to the short notice customary for this sort of event, the venue address and time will be revealed only to those who RSVP, which you can do through Eventbrite during the next 24 hours.

Kicking off the series are Jerome Derradji of Still Music and Mark Grusane of Mr. Peabody Records—two prolific crate diggers who’ve previously played together during Derradji’s monthly night at the Whistler, One of Them Nights. They’ll be spinning hour-long all-vinyl sets of disco, boogie, and funk, while attendees sip complimentary beer.

And if you can’t make it to the first party, tune in tomorrow evening to the live stream, which will be presented right here on the Bleader.
