- Machine Guns Vegas
I’m used to getting press releases for everything from D-list celebrities wearing midmarket labels to yet another party sponsored by the latest flavored liqueur. I delete most of them. Sometimes a headline catches my attention, although it can be for the wrong reasons. Case in point: a PR e-mail this morning—three days after the mass shootings in Aurora, Colorado, and countless blog posts and op-eds debating gun control—with the headline “MACHINE GUNS VEGAS GETS IT ON WITH LOUIS VUITTON GUN GRIP.”
According to the release, Machine Guns Vegas is a firing range that “provides a uniquely Las Vegas firearms experience.” Part of that experience apparently involves clients who prefer a designer name on their weapon accessories.
It’s legal to carry a handgun in the state of Nevada, the release points out. What’s also legal: questionable taste in timing.
