The former owners of Jake, the boutique at 939 N. Rush that closed in April, have opened a new store in the 900 Shops. Space519 seems to be a little more affordable than Jake, which carried mainly high-end designer lines. But the blistering comments on a breathless review of the shop at nbcchicago.com show that many haven’t forgotten the scandal that unfolded last summer after the New York Times reported that many designers featured in Jake weren’t being paid.
