Honestly I probably could’ve written about 10,000 more words on seapunk for my feature on the microgenre this week. One topic I didn’t have enough print space to explore is why exactly seapunk seems to push peoples’ buttons in such an extreme way. (Unsurprisingly the comments section is already going nuts.) If you haven’t already picked a side in this hilarious battle, and if you like music with beats, I’d recommend checking out Ultrademon’s #Occupy Mixtape and other seapunk music before you form an opinion, which it seems like a lot of people haven’t done.
