The Empty Bottle just announced via Twitter that tickets for the Chicago stop on Throbbing Gristle’s first proper U.S. tour are now on sale.

According to Throbbing Gristle’s Web site, the show will be a two-parter: first the group will provide a new live soundtrack to Derek Jarman’s “alchemical” 1980 film In the Shadow of the Sun, which is an hour long, and then they’ll play another full set that promises to span their long, strange career. There will also be an autograph session and special merch exclusive to the tour, because TG fans are obsessive like that.

The show’s April 25 at Epiphany, and it’s sort of perversely perfect for Throbbing Gristle to be perfoming in a church–Genesis P-Orridge must have such a boner right now.
