Well that’s a drag.
To celebrate their 20th anniversary, the Neo-Futurists were going to bring back loads of illustrious alumni, revive some of the greatest hits from Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind (the show that promises 30 plays in 60 minutes), and put them together for a six-week, primetime production called TML20. It would have been quite the extravaganza. According to publicist Christa Rolf, they were expecting folks like Urinetown librettist Greg Kotis, monologuist David Kodeski, MADtv–and Urinetown–vet Spencer Kayden (who’s already here anyway, in Don’t Dress for Dinner at the Royal George), and Adrian Danzig of 500 Clown. But Jonathan Mastro, who was to curate, ran into a scheduling conflict. Nobody could jump in, and now the company’s hoping to set up a one-night celebration sometime in the fall.
