A few tickets are left to tonight’s Holiday Night Moves, an installment of Longman & Eagle’s late-night drinks-and-dinner pairing series. The $55, five-course meal involves a lot of warm flavors and seasonal beers: an appetizer of foie gras, hot chocolate, and gingerbread is paired with Great Lakes Brewing Co. Christmas Ale; cinnamon-braised Becker Lane pork crepinette with Anson Mills grits, chanterelles, brussels sprouts, and jus is paired with Samuel Smith Winter Welcome Ale; and the quintessential midwestern meat of the early winter—that’d be grilled red-tail deer—comes with fennel quince puree, black trumpet mushrooms, huckleberry vinegar, and poached chestnuts, with Petrus Winter Ale to wash it down.
