Fri 7/8: Panteon Rococo, Carla Morrison, Instituto Mexicano del Sonido, and more make noise at the Latin Alternative Music Festival, Ruido Fest (1301 W. 14th) in Addams/Medill Park. 3-10 PM
Fri 7/8: Bring your reading glasses and disco shoes to Co-Prosperity Sphere (3219 S. Morgan) for the book release of Dave Hoekstra and Steve Dahl’s Disco Demolition: The Night Disco Died. The authors sign books to the groovy soundtrack of the documented era. 7 PM

Fri 7/8-Sun 7/10: One-of-a-kind works of art, from jewelry to sculpture and more, line the streets at the seventh annual Millennium Art Festival (Lake and Michigan). Live music and food also mark the occasion. 10 AM-5 PM
Sat 7/9: “Put no means of transport before thy bike,” reads the first of New Belgium Brewing’s Ten Commandments for its traveling event, Tour de Fat, at Palmer Square (3100 W. Palmer). Come in costume, be prepared to dance, and don’t forget your helmet! 10 AM
Sat 7/9: Art abounds in the written, visual, and auditory form at the Lost Artists Show at Art Colony (2630 W. Fletcher). Catch studio pieces and exhibitions from visiting artists, live poetry with host Vito Carli, and music from George John Larson and Rebecca F. 5-9 PM
Sat 7/9: Comedian Ian Abramson performs stand-up with special guests like Ron Lynch of Bob’s Burgers and Adventure Time at Bell Hop at Virgin Hotel (203 N. Wabash). 9 PM

Sat 7/9-Sun 7/10: Enjoy some of Chicago’s best burger spots—including Butcher & the Burger, Fatso’s Last Stand, and Square Bar & Grill—all in one place at the Roscoe Village Burger Fest (Roscoe between Damen and Levitt) plus two live-music stages and a “Kid’s Zone” full of crafts and activities for the little ones. 11 AM-10 PM

Sun 7/10: Alliance LARP Chicago performs a live-action role play (LARP), including a battle sequence, on the lawn of the Comfort Station (2579 N. Milwaukee). 11 AM-2 PM
Sun 7/10: Irish dancing, soda bread, and Celtic music abound at the Irish American Heritage Festival (4626 N. Knox) this weekend. Irish folk group the High Kings perform at 8 PM. 11 AM-midnight
