In general I’m not a fan of shorts; they’re too easily abused. As much as a large proportion of the population would like to think so, shorts with a battered T-shirt and flip-flops are not an acceptable outfit in public, except maybe on the playground.
But dressed up, they can even go to work. Longer versions, like the Bermuda-style short, are back in style, perhaps because they flatter more body types than short shorts (however cute they may be).
