The Museum of Contemporary Art kicks off Tuesdays on the Terrace, its annual summer jazz series, Tuesday from 5:30 to 8 PM with a performance by Fred Anderson. The concerts cap off the MCA’s other free Tuesday events, including Summer Creation Stations, this week featuring experimental stencil screen printing (11 AM-2 PM and 5-7:30 PM, 6/2-8/25); a farmers’ market (9 AM-4 PM, 6/10-10/28); and rotating evening events including Stitch ‘n’ Bitch (first Tuesdays, 5:30 PM), Bingo Tango (second Tuesdays, 6 PM), and Literary Gangs of Chicago (third Tuesdays, 6:30 PM). Admission to the MCA is free on Tuesdays and it’s open till 8 PM; current exhibits include Buckminster Fuller and Olafur Eliasson.
