Enjoy buying stuff that once belonged to famous people, or that famous people have at the very least written their names on? Who doesn’t, right? Tonight at the 20th annual Rock for Kids Rock ‘n’ Roll Charity Auction, you’ll have ample opportunity to do just that. Held at Park West, the auction offers an extensive list of lots, ranging from $20 to $50,000 in starting price and including such interesting items as a signed replica of B.B. King’s guitar Lucille, a soccer ball signed by Rod Stewart, and a bodhran signed by the Pogues.

Sponsored by Jam Productions, WXRT, Whole Foods, and, you guessed it, the Chicago Reader, the auction is a benefit for Rock for Kids, a nonprofit that uses music as a motivational tool by providing free year-round music education to underprivileged kids. The event starts at 7:30 PM; tickets are $25 in advance through Ticketmaster or Rock for Kids or $30 at the door.
