Post a YouTube video (three minutes or less) telling the Chicago Opera Theater why you deserve free tickets, and and you could be one of three winners of a pair of free subscriptions to its 2009 Spring Festival Season, featuring Mozart’s La clemenza di Tito, Bizet’s La Tragedie de Carmen, and Britten’s Owen Wingrave. Even if you don’t win, you’ll get two passes to the final dress rehearsal of La clemenza di Tito. The contest ends April 1 at 10 AM; the three videos that are most often added as favorites will be the winners (and it’s considered kosher to convince all your friends to “vote” for your video). So far, the competition’s not looking too stiff.
