Your options for legal entry to the Pitchfork Music Festival just got a little narrower, according to a press release that just dinged into my inbox. Two-day passes and three-day passes are sold out, leaving only single-day tickets still available. And according to the fest’s organizers, Sunday tickets are going fast, most likely due to the Flaming Lips’ headlining slot that night.
As of today you need to act fast to take part in the fest’s “Write the Night” thinger and vote on what songs you want to hear during Friday night’s sets by Built to Spill, the Jesus Lizard, Tortoise, and Yo La Tengo (and also Sunday’s by the Flaming Lips). Voting closes at 11:59 PM tonight. Since only ticket holders can vote, that means you’ll need to pick up a Friday-night (or Sunday-night) pass if you haven’t already. Change we can believe in, y’all.
Other important P4K news: The hippies who make the pretty-great coconut curry and the hangover-eradicating iced-coffee smoothies will be returning to the fest. I’m sure their fine food and beverages will save at least a few lives.
