Timeslip at Gallery 400 Lecture Room. An exhibition of films exploring different aspects of time, such as time capsules and time travel.
Festa Italiana. The four-day festival on Taylor St. kicks off its 7th year on Thursday and will feature food, performances on three stages, and vendors selling crafts, jewelry and more. Mamma mia!
Friday, 8/23
Brasil Fest. This weekend, get a glimpse of the country that’s slated to host the World Cup in 2014 and the Olympics in 2016. The three-day fest will be hitting Logan Square with traditional food, music, art and more starting Friday.
Saturday 8/24
Unioned Labors at The Bike Room. Three pairs of artists—a father and daughter, a husband and wife, and a professor and student—produced works reflective of their relationships in various mediums. Exhibition opens Saturday and runs through 9/22.
Celebration of Dance at Millennium Park. A collection of different genres of dance performed outdoors at Jay Pritzker Pavilion.

Fall Fashion Preview at Water Tower Place. Grab a ticket for an early look at the clothing and accessories that will flank the racks of Water Tower Place shops this fall. Food and drinks will be on hand.
