Italian B movie auteur Mario Bava repeatedly fingered this 1970 murder mystery as his worst film. It’s certainly one of his dullest, a gray rewrite of Agatha Christie’s Ten Little Indians in which a group of swingers vacationing on a remote island are murdered one after the other and hung up in a meat locker to chill. Students of Bava’s colorful and dynamic visual style will find much to admire here—and very little in the way of story or character to distract them from it. 78 min.
