In this one-hour Maurice Tourneur feature (1916), a young woman (Doris Kenyon) in the sticks who’s bored with her boyfriend flees to New York and lands a small part in a western being shot there. Robert Warwick plays the western’s star, and the film director is none other than Emile Chautard, mentor of both Tourneur and Josef von Sternberg (appearing here as Chautard’s cameraman).
