Charlie Sheen stars as a parody of himself (which is redundant, of course), a successful Hollywood designer whose wild life is beginning to catch up with him. This giant turkey was produced, written, and directed by Roman Coppola, who must have thought the dumb fantasy sequences, steeped in movieland imagery, would remind people of 8-1/2 (or, at the very least, Head). Instead, the movie plays like a Beverly Hills party you wouldn’t want to attend even if you could, featuring Coppola’s buddies Jason Schwartzman as an unfunny stand-up comedian, Bill Murray as Swan’s business manager, and Patricia Arquette, looking like an Australian’s nightmare, as the hero’s ex-wife.
