In this feature-length promotional film for the Danish toy manufacturer the Lego Group, directors Kief Davidson and Daniel Junge argue that the little plastic bricks aren’t just playthings but a valuable social tool. A NASA engineer, a visual artist, a mathematician, and a child psychologist explain how they have incorporated Legos into their work, and the directors take a benign view of the meet-up groups for adult toy enthusiasts who’ve bonded over Legos. Interspersed with these human-interest stories are interviews with financial writers, who remind us how profitable the Lego Company has been and how it continues to grow. I’m sure the board of directors loved this. Jason Bateman narrates.
