The title refers to the distance separating five teenage boys from Argentina’s capital, though from their perspective it’s a world away. In making a film about bored, restless kids at odds with their environment, writer-director Pablo Jose Meza travels some pretty familiar territory, but this 2004 feature is enlivened by his gifts of observation. Inevitably some of the narrative deals with the raging hormones of adolescent boys, yet Meza also captures the cadences and attitudes of these alternately indifferent and overstimulated kids as they glimpse impending adulthood during a long, hot summer. 93 min.
