Documentary filmmakers Carl Deal and Tia Lessen (Trouble the Water) chart the activist efforts of billionaire industrialists Charles and David Koch and, more generally, the growing influence of corporate interests on American politics. As filmmaking this is downright terrible; much of the footage is taken directly from cable TV news, and the ham-fisted rhetoric seems better suited to a two-minute political ad than a feature-length work. Regardless, this imparts such vital information that one can overlook the technical ineptitude.
