Only diehard George Lucas fans will be able to sit through this feeble send-up of the Star Wars cult. Slacker buddies in Ohio eagerly await the premiere of Episode I—The Phantom Menace (1999), but one of them is battling cancer and may not live long enough to see it, so they embark on a road trip to California to steal Lucas’s own work print from the Skywalker Ranch. Their lame misadventures along the way include having to strip in a gay biker bar and fending off a Vegas pimp. Not even cameos by Carrie Fisher, Billy Dee Williams, William Shatner, Kevin Smith, and Seth Rogen (in a dual role) can save this soulless parody. Kyle Newman directed.
