Less a documentary than a privileged assortment of home-video footage, this feature by Tao Ruspoli features gripping but poorly shot performances by and discussions with one of the finest flamenco families in Seville, Spain. An American, Ruspoli traveled to Spain for flamenco lessons but ended up making this instead; the cultural conversations are interesting, but there’s a nagging sense that Ruspoli is being snowed. (If his subjects are credible, he’s the first non-Gypsy to understand real flamenco). In Spanish with subtitles. 80 min.
