No movie star appears to have more fun in a crap movie than John Travolta, and his inimitable my-check-has-cleared! glee is the best thing about this lame espionage thriller. He plays an American spy in Paris who teams up with U.S. diplomatic aide Jonathan Rhys Meyers to foil a jihadist plot, and the movie clunks along for more than an hour before a clever, late-breaking plot twist gives it a decent jolt. Luc Besson, the king of French action pictures, produced and wrote the story; Pierre Morel (Taken) directed, and screenwriter Adi Hasak contributed the flat dialogue. R, 92 min.
