Vangelis Seitanidis, who has written books on Robert Altman and Wim Wenders, makes his directing debut with this 2001 drama about a young couple who rip off a casino. Most crime films are plot driven, but Seitanidis focuses on character, glossing over the actual heist and robbing the story of much-needed tension. For his trouble he gets a good performance from Spyros Stavrinidis as the heroine’s father, a gambling-addicted curmudgeon, though none of the other characters resonate much. With Emilios Chilakis and Maria Solomou. In Greek with subtitles. 100 min.
