A Boston bank executive (Sarah Jessica Parker, sporting the most spectacular working woman’s wardrobe this side of Sex and the City) tries to satisfy a demanding boss (Kelsey Grammer), support an out-of-work architect husband (Greg Kinnear), and raise two kids, even as she periodically flies to Manhattan to nurture her own business project with a flirtatious financier (Pierce Brosnan). Written by Aline Brosh McKenna (The Devil Wears Prada), this romantic comedy brims with feminist sentiments and screwball situations. It’s smart, swanky, and good-looking, but strangely, it’s not all that funny. Douglas McGrath (Emma) directed.
