Three oud-playing brothers travel from Nazareth to a family reunion in war-torn Ramallah and finally to Paris for a concert, and although Palestinian director Raed Andoni downplays the political aspects of this intimate 2005 video documentary, the brothers’ music and heritage are passionately connected. Early scenes show the oldest brother doling out tough love to the youngest as he prepares for his professional debut, and in one emotional scene the elder sibling describes how he can sense the audience’s compassion toward him and his homeland when he’s performing. In Arabic with subtitles. 60 min.
