Jim Corbett, the Indian-born English game hunter-turned-conservationist, probably deserves a biopic, but he serves only as a tour guide in this large-format travelogue of the majestic jungles of India, home of the fabled Bengal tiger. As the sanctimonious, cliche-heavy narration intones history of the subcontinent and the wary relationship between villagers and the man-eaters, the camera swoops past rocky escarpments and lush forests to close-ups of the awesome felines. Directed without much imagination by Imax regular Bruce Neibaur. Christopher Heyerdahl (Thor’s nephew) impersonates Corbett. 40 min.
