In this 2004 sci-fi takeoff, director-star Karim Patwa is convinced he’s an extraterrestrial, and after drinking his family’s brand of lemonade he winds up inside the bottle on a journey to the Patwa Galaxy, where he meets his relatives. The story is somewhat autobiographical: Patwa’s Swiss grandparents apparently accepted his Indian father only because he “wasn’t that dark,” and the weightlessness of space travel evokes the rootlessness Patwa feels. In the finale he floats above Switzerland, affectionately parodying it as a land of Swiss flags and perfect order. In German and Gujarati with subtitles. 60 min.
