Active in the French cinema since 1959, Jean-Pierre Mocky is one of those perennial outsiders who somehow manage to pursue their eccentric visions despite an almost total lack of comprehension from the film industry establishment. This 1984 film, one of his very few to be shown in the U.S., is about a hapless referee (French pop star Eddy Mitchell) who is beset by an angry mob of fans (led by Michel Serrault) when he makes a bad call in a soccer game. With Carole Laure.
