After last year’s disastrous The Ugly Truth, Katherine Heigl reteams with director Robert Luketic for this rancid romantic comedy. A sheltered young woman vacationing in Nice with her parents (Tom Selleck and Catherine O’Hara), she falls for hunky Ashton Kutcher, not knowing he’s an undercover assassin. He’s so smitten with her lack of smarts and social graces that he marries her and starts a new life back in the U.S., but almost all their suburban neighbors turn out to be sleeper contract killers. Bob DeRosa and Ted Griffin wrote the script, whose plummeting one-liners leave no actor unscathed.
