Veteran Argentinean actors Dario Grandinetti and Cecilia Roth play a married couple on the verge of divorce after 20 years together. The film takes place over a single day, recounted first from the husband’s perspective and then from the wife’s to drive home the tired point that men and women see the world differently. Director Carlos Jaureguialzo rarely reaches for a larger point, relying instead on various faux-arty visual gimmicks before he arrives at a predictable denouement. Yet Grandinetti and Roth outclass the material at every turn.
