This collection of bad-taste sketches and movie parodies doesn’t come within hailing distance of Kentucky Fried Movie (1977)–or even Amazon Women on the Moon (1987). More often than not, it feels like an hour and a half in a junior high lunchroom, the players mentioning shit, semen, menstruation, and the like rather than telling actual jokes. Despite all the gross-out humor, the most offensive thing about this is the lazy filmmaking; every shot feels like a first take, and the haphazard editing precludes any comic timing. The cast is full of stars, a few of whom manage to eke some laughs out of the desperate material (Naomi Watts, Liev Schreiber, Jason Sudeikis, and Terrence Howard, who has a grand time spoofing Denzel Washington); everyone else looks as if he’s sleepwalking. Among the directors are James Gunn, Peter Farrelly, and Elizabeth Banks.
