Bill (Nick Kroll) lives in the shadow of his blind brother, Robbie (Adam Scott), who spends his time running charity marathons and being interviewed on TV; by contrast, Bill’s life interests consist of watching television and feeling sorry for himself. After a one-night stand with Rose (Jenny Slate), Bill decides that he’s found his soul mate, but she winds up as Robbie’s girlfriend. None of the three is sympathetic in the least, and the jokes at the expense of the blind aren’t in bad enough taste to be funny. Zoe Kazan provides the only compelling moments as Rose’s roommate, who becomes Bill’s reluctant date, yet playing the normal one among such a group of narcissists is a thankless task. Sophie Goodhart directed her own script.
