My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002) made creator Nia Vardalos a star and earned producer Rita Wilson a bundle of money; the two clearly hope lightning will strike twice with this sketchy romantic comedy. Once again Vardalos plays a klutzy single waiting for the right man to divine her beauty. An unpopular American tour guide in Greece, she’s burdened with loutish customers who fancy souvenir trinkets more than the Parthenon. Richard Dreyfuss has the thankless role of a meddling codger who’s as wise as a Delphic oracle, and Alexis Georgulis is the hirsute tour bus driver who blooms into an Adonis. Donald Petrie (How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days) directed this cinematic equivalent of a beach book, bland and disposable. PG-13, 96 min.
