This Greek melodrama (2001) by writer-director Stratos Tzitzis certainly stacks the deck against its heroine (Maria Zorba): her deadbeat ex-husband refuses to cough up money he owes for her mortgage payments, her boyfriend becomes violent when he decides she’s been unfaithful, her boss sells his company and lets her go, and, to top it off, her friends show little interest in her. Given her assorted troubles, the story is moderately interesting at first, but once she’s revealed to be just as indifferent to her friends as they are to her, it becomes a crushing bore. In Greek with subtitles. 100 min.
